Once you installed phpTrafficA, log-on to the main phpTrafficA main folder.
- To view the stats for one of your domains, click on corresponding "Get Stats!" links.
- To configure, follow the instructions below.
Add a new site
- General instructions
- Log into phpTrafficA.
- Follow the
Configlink on top of the page. - Fill up the form, with the domain name of your site, without the
http://(e.g.soft.zoneo.net) and a root for table names in the database (whatever you want, but it should not be used already and not include any special character like #, (, $, or @). If you want to track a site with multiple subdomains, something likesoft.zoneo.net,sub.zoneo.net, andcom.zoneo.netin one database, register your domain aszoneo.net. If you want to track them independently, enter their full name. - If your site is tagged as
Public, all visitors will be allowed to see the statistics. If it is tagged asPrivate, you will need to log-in to access the statistics. - If you choose the
Trim URL, all pages likeindex.php?lang=enorindex.php?lang=frwill be stored asindex.php. Otherwise, they will be treated as separate pages. - Click "submit".

Track pages
If the page is on the same server than phpTrafficA, you have three solutions:
- pure php code, totally invisible to the visitor,
- include an image with php,
- include an image with javascript.
If the page is not located on the same server that phpTrafficA, you have two solutions
- include an image with php,
- include an image with javascript.
If you use the image inclusion method, it will appear as a 1x1 pixels black square for visitors, and the word Admin for the administrator.
The Reminder link on top of the phpTrafficA page will give you the proper lines to add in the page to track.
And the administrator?
phpTrafficA has the ability to stop logging for specified browsers, for example the webmaster. This is achieved by setting a cookie on the webmaster's browser.
To load the cookie, go to the Cookie link, and follow the instructions at the bottom of the page. Follow the same procedure if you wish to remove the cookie.
On all pages, you'll see a label to remind you that your visit is not recorded. All other users will not see this label, and their visits will be recorded.
