Previous versions of freeForum did not handle multi-line code, italic, or bold tags. FreeForum 1.8.1 fixes the issue.

The 1.8 version of freeForum was released today! Changes include,
- Italian translation, thanks to Mauro Savone,
- Bosnian translation, thanks to Faruk Garic,

- 3 extra stylesheet: blue, yellow, black,
- button in message to send a private email to the poster,
- option to remember author info,

About recent reports of cross-site scripting vulnerability, 01 Oct 2008
There has been reports of cross-site scripting vulnerability in freeForum-1.7. The security releases indicate that the 'acuparam' parameter is not properly checked.
There is no 'acuparam' parameter in freeForum! All proposed exploits have been checked and do not work on freeForum.
For some strange reason, this XSS vulnerability has been attributed to freeForum, but ZoneO-Soft has nothing to do with it. Current installations of freeForum are safe and do not need to be upgraded.

FreeForum 1.7 was released today! New features include advanced search, a better anti-spam filter, polish, and turkish translation, thanks to Krzysztof Ziembik and Bulut EMEKTAR.
Translations have updated. since 1.7beta1. No other change was made.

First beta version for freeForum 1.7 was released today! New features include advanced search, a better anti-spam filter, polish, and turkish translation, thanks to Krzysztof Ziembik and Bulut EMEKTAR.
This version is fully functionnal but needs updates in the translations. Full version will be released soon.
Version 1.6 released!, 06 Mar 2008
Version 1.6 of freeForum was released today! Thanks to Samuel Aguilera from Agamum.net this new version includes a new translation to Spanish. Stephen and Rebekka Kunth homepage have provided us with a yellow stylesheet. CAPTCHA images can now be set to optional, and we also included a new blue stylesheet, and various bug fixes to the interface and installation process.
So go ahead, download it and install it today!

There were a couple of bugs in the 1.5 release. Version 1.5.1 fixes these issues.
