Unix time is simply the number of seconds since the Unix Epoch (January 1 1970 00:00:00 GMT). It is widely used not only on Unix-like operating systems but in many other computing systems, including programming languages such as Java, C, PHP, or mysql. Well, if you were a real geek, you should be able to convert it to english in a jiffy, but the rest of us can't! That's what this web page is for... Simply type a date in plain english, and you'll get the corresponding unix timestamp. It works the other way as well: enter a unix timestamp, and you'll get the date in plain english. Try it out! It will work with things like "now", "monday", "next monday", "11 September 2010", "tomorrow"... |
