Mais où sont donc les programmes dans la structure de fichiers de mandriva?
En effet, je reçois cette question régulièrement!
Et ben ce n'est pas très compliqué. En général, ils sont dans
- /bin/
- /usr/bin/
- /usr/X11R6/bin/
- /usr/local/bin/
/bin/ contient les commandes de unix base, comme ls, rm... /usr/bin/ est le répertoire principal avec tout une liste de trucs (1900 commandes dans mon cas). /usr/X11R6/bin/ contient les programmes concernant l'interface graphique (X11, pas gnome ou kde qui sont dans /usr/bin/). Enfin, /usr/local/bin/ contient les programmes qui ont été installés manuellement (à partir de fichiers tar.gz par exemple).
Voilà pour les trucs de base. En plus vous avez les répertoires
- /sbin/
- /usr/sbin/
Par contre, pas la peine d'aller toujours fouiller dans ces dossiers! Depuis un terminal, il suffit de taper les premières lettres puis tab (sous bash) ou contrôle-d (sous tcsh) pour avoir la liste des commandes correspondantes, ce qui est bien pratique!
Enfin, ne retirez jamais les fichiers de ces répertoires manuellement! Mandriva utilise un système de paquetages pour insaller où retirer des programmes, et vous risquez de corrompre de votre système si vous intervenez à la main.
