Après un article sur la BBC, je me devais de rendre le change en expliquant comment écouter Radio France!
Sur Radio-France, la plupart des émissions en direct sont diffusées sous deux formats: windows media player et ogg vorbis. Les émissions enregistrées sont elles disponibles en real player. Que sont ces formats? Voici la liste:
- windows media player: comme son nom l'indique, ce format est propriétaire, fermé, et appartient à Microsoft. Comme vous pouvez vous en douter, Microsoft INTERDIT aux distributions Linux de le supporter. Il y a moyen d'y arriver, mais bon, mieux vaut éviter.
- real est aussi un format propriétaire qui appartient à la société Real Networks. Contrairement à Microsoft, Real Networks accepte de travailler avec le monde Linux.
- Ogg Vorbis est un format ouvert, libre de droit.
Pour écouter les archives de émissions de Radio France, dirigez-vous simplement vers leur site internet, choisissez votre émission, et ouvrez l'archive qui vous intéresse. Si ça ne marche pas, suivez les instruction de ma page sur la BBC pour installer le player Helix. Quand mozilla ou konqueror vous demande quelle application utiliser, tapez hxplay.
Pour écouter le direct, mieux vaut utiliser les chaines en format ogg, voici les adresses:

Pour les écouter, cliquez simplement sur les adresses ci-dessus. Encore une fois, si mandriva ne trouve pas automatiquement d'application pour ouvrir le document, indiquez l'application hxplay.
